An incident Thursday morning has resulted in an Ephraim man being taken into custody. Officers were dispatched to a home in Ephraim after receiving a report of a man threatening to ignite the home with gas from a stove. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the man had already left in a vehicle. After being located in Moroni, he was taken into custody without incident and transported to Sanpete Valley Hospital for a mental health evaluation. The case will be referred to the 6th district Court for charges that may include threats of violence and illegal narcotics.
