(Nephi, UT) — A lockdown has been lifted at Red Cliffs Elementary School in Nephi after police arrested a suspect they were pursuing nearby.

According to officers, the suspect was driving in the area around 9 a.m., and abandoned his car in the school’s parking lot.

Officers caught that person as he tried to run from police.

Administrators for the school say students were never in any danger.
