Heavy Rain and Flooding Causes Power Outage in Richfield

Early in the afternoon of July 22, the city of Richfield and the surrounding areas received heavy rainfall causing flooding in multiple areas around the city.

During the storm a branch was knocked off a tree near the intersection of 300 West 400 South that landed on a power line ripping it off of the power pole causing a power outage for the southern part of Richfield.

Power is out for most areas South of 200 South and according to Rocky Mountain Power it won’t be restored until roughly 6:30 p.m.
