Early in the afternoon of July 22, the city of Richfield and the surrounding areas received heavy rainfall causing flooding in multiple areas around the city.
During the storm a branch was knocked off a tree near the intersection of 300 West 400 South that landed on a power line ripping it off of the power pole causing a power outage for the southern part of Richfield.
Power is out for most areas South of 200 South and according to Rocky Mountain Power it won’t be restored until roughly 6:30 p.m.
