Fatal Head on Car Crash in Richfield

On the evening of May 27, Richfield City Police and the Utah Highway Patrol responded to a head on crash on SR 119 next to the City Park in Richfield.

According to reports, a single female, Lesia Allred of Cedar City, was driving a Chevy Tahoe Eastbound when she may have suffered a medical episode that caused her to lose consciousness causing the vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic at a high rate of speed.

Driving Westbound at the same time was a couple, Clinton and Jaymi Henrie of Richfield, in a Chevy Malibu that collided head on with the Tahoe. The Malibu was thrown about 75 feet and the Tahoe rolled onto its roof.

All three individuals involved in the crash were taken by ambulance to the hospital with possibly life threatening injuries. Clinton Henrie was taken north by life flight, but unfortunately he passed away from his injuries. It was reported that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Jaymi Henrie will be transported North with multiple fractured bones, Allred will be treated at the Sevier Valley Hospital, but both are expected to survive.
