Governor Cox Won’t Rule Out Drought Declaration

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox won’t rule out a drought declaration. That comes as the current snowpack is being called one of the worst in Utah history. Because that snow provides so much drinking water when it melts, the problems will likely intensify in the coming months. For now, Governor Cox says he’s hoping for a wet spring. If there is a drought declaration, it’ll likely happen in the summer.
