(Moab, UT) — A Utah police department is officially being sued over the murder of Gabby Petito. Her parents filed it yesterday, saying they hope it helps other victims of domestic violence. Their 22-year-old daughter was seen fighting with her boyfriend in Moab last summer when the couple made a stop on their cross-country road trip. Two officers were called to check it out but didn’t make any arrests. Petito was killed two weeks later in Wyoming. The 50-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit names the cops, the police chief and several others.
