Former Utah State Football Staffer Facing First Degree Murder

(Logan, UT) — A former Utah State football defensive analyst is accused of poisoning his pregnant girlfriend in Tennessee last year. Blaise Allen Taylor was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Thursday in Logan and booked into jail. Taylor, who played football at Texas A&M, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the poisoning death of a woman who was his girlfriend and her unborn child in February 2023. A Nashville grand jury indictment alleges the 25-year-old girlfriend was treated at the hospital for what doctors thought at first was an allergic reaction. Her unborn child died on February 27th and she died on March 6th. The deaths occurred when Taylor was working as a scout for the Tennessee Titans. Taylor’s father is an assistant coach at USU.
