Ephraim City Mayor John Scott and Councilwoman Margie Anderson received warm applause as they stepped down last week after years of service to the city. Scott concluded 14 years in local government, including eight years on the city council and six and a half as mayor. He was appointed mayor in 2019 after the resignation of Mayor Squire and later won the seat uncontested in 2021. Anderson wrapped up three terms on the city council, having first been elected in 2013 and reelected in 2017 and 2021. Both were honored for their long-standing commitment to the community.
