(Salt Lake City, UT) — As winter is quickly approaching, residents across Utah can now apply for grants to help pay for winter energy bills. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program is a federal grant program which aims to lower energy bills for those in need. To qualify, homeowners or renters must have incomes which are at or below 150-percent of the Federal Poverty Limit. The program offers up to two-thousand-dollars in assistance for each household. To apply or see if you are qualified for the program, contact the Utah Department of Human Services.
