Cox Announces Plan To Provide Free Period Products In State Buildings

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox says the state of Utah will provide free feminine hygiene products in restrooms in all state buildings. The governor announced the move yesterday during an event at the State Capitol building. The governor also praised the Period Project, a group that has worked to get hygiene products stocked in restrooms in schools, companies and public areas. The founder of the group behind the project says Utah is the first state to provide free period projects in state government buildings.
