(Orem, UT) — President Trump says conservative activist Charlie Kirk is dead after a shooting on a college campus in Utah. It happened today during an outdoor “Turning Point” rally at Utah Valley University near Provo. Kirk was shot while speaking to hundreds of students. A suspect is not in custody. The 31-year-old Kirk founded Turning Point USA, a conservative group that was instrumental in getting out the youth vote for Trump in the 2024 election. Trump asked for the nation’s prayers when he got the news Kirk had been shot. Kirk leaves behind a wife, and two small children.
