(Salt Lake City, UT) — A 40-million-dollar bill that would work to protect and restore the Great Salt Lake is on its way to the Utah Senate. The bill sponsored by House Speaker Brad Wilson passed the House unanimously yesterday. The bill would work to establish partnerships designed to secure more water for the lake while restoring and protecting endangered habitats. Wilson said the shrinking of the lake has fundamentally altered the state’s climate and continues to affect the quality of life of all Utahns.
