A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Richfield. The incident happened July 28 around 2:00 p.m. on 800 South and Main St. near AutoZone. According to Richfield City Police Chief Trent Lloyd, the cyclist, a 37-year-old male, was riding northbound with the right of way when an eastbound pickup truck at a red light turned right onto Main Street. The front right corner of the truck made contact with the cyclist who was then taken by ambulance to the hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown but are believed to be minor. The driver of the pickup, an 18-year old male, was cited for failure to yield.
