During the morning of July 28, a bear was spotted within Ephraim city limits. According to a post on the Ephraim City Police Facebook page, “thanks to the quick response and teamwork of our partner agencies, a DWR wildlife biologist was able to safely tranquilize the bear and relocate it to a more suitable habitat.” They also thanked residents for their cooperation and patience while officers worked to ensure the safety of both the public and the bear. They also reminded residents “if you encounter wildlife in town, please keep your distance and report it to the appropriate authorities.”
