Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Grady Thompson amassed 18 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists as the Manti Templars got past North Sanpete 71-67 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball action. Austin Cox added 14 points and 4 rebounds in the win for the Templars, who improved to 4-1 and 1-0 in Region 14 play.
Trevon Morley and Brady Jacobson had 14 points apiece in defeat for the Hawks, who slumped to 2-2 and 0-1 in Region 14 play.
Manti returns to action Thursday by competing in the Coach Walker Memorial Classic in St. George against Class 4-A school Pine View.
The Hawks continue Region 14 play Friday by vistiting Maeser Prep.
LINDON, Utah-Ty Allred stepped up with 22 points and the Juab Wasps pounded Maeser Prep 77-30 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball action. Aaron Cho’s 15 points led the Lions in defeat.
Non-Region
MONROE, Utah-Carter Peterson posted 18 points and 6 rebounds as the South Sevier Rams hammered Delta 68-54 in non-region boys basketball action Wednesday. Jake Henrie’s game-high 20 points led the Rabbits in the loss.
TOOELE, Utah-Nolan Hickman amassed 29 points and the Wasatch Academy Tigers pounded Tooele 103-57 in non-region boys basketball action Wednesday. Justin Rogers had 16 points in the loss for the Buffaloes.
HURRICANE, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats downed Hurricane 44-37 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball action. Kenneth Moore had 9 points and 3 rebounds in the loss for the Tigers.
KANAB, Utah-Kason Janes amassed 31 points and the Kanab Cowboys gashed Gunnison Valley 84-74 in non-region boys basketball action Wednesday. Harley Hill led the Bulldogs in defeat with 27 points.

Region 20
ORDERVILLE, Utah-Esther Cox led the way with 16 points and the Valley Buffaloes pounded Escalante 51-23 in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday. Mikki Prows had 12 points in the loss for the Moquis.
TROPIC, Utah-Kassidy Westwood’s 12 points led the Piute Thunderbirds to a 32-27 win over Bryce Valley Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Brooklyn Syrett had 20 points for the Mustangs in the loss.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Kyan Orton stepped up with 11 points and the Panguitch Bobcats humbled Water Canyon 33-28 in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday. Melissa Jessop had 19 points in the loss for the Wildcats.
MILFORD, Utah-Hanna Williams led the way with 22 points and the Wayne Badgers edged Milford 55-54 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Kinley Spaulding led the Tigers in the loss with 20 points.
