PRINCETON, N.J.-In news released Wednesday, BYU men’s basketball will play at the Legends Classic at the Mohegan Sun of Uncasville, Conn. December 2 and 3.

Also competing at this preseason events are Connecticut, Southern California and Vanderbilt.

This tournament dates back to 2007 and has since become among the most eagerly-anticipated men’s preseason college basketball tournaments.

Last season, then-No. 18 Auburn bested Richmond 79-65 in the championship game to win this event.

The Cougars are coming off of a 24-8 campaign (13-3 in West Coast Conference play) in 2019-20.

Until further notice, this tournament will commence the Cougars’ season as presently, only their West Coast Conference schedule has been officially released.

This is slated to commence December 31 as they visit the Pepperdine Waves at Malibu, Calif.
