PRICE, Utah-The Carbon Dinos bested Richfield 3-0 in Region 12 volleyball action Thursday. The Dinos prevailed 25-20, 25-23 and 25-21 to overcome the Wildcats in straight sets.
MONROE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams gashed Emery 3-2 Thursday in Region 12 volleyball action. The Rams outlasted the Spartans 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-23 and 15-11.
Region 14
ROOSEVELT, Utah-The Union Cougars waxed Delta 3-0 in Region 14 volleyball action Thursday. The Cougars prevailed 25-10, 25-22 and 25-15 to net the straight sets victory over the Rabbits.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-The Manti Templars stonewalled American Leadership 3-0 Thursday in Region 14 volleyball action. The Templars downed the Eagles 25-11, 25-10 and 25-16 for the straight sets win.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The North Sanpete Hawks dominated Maeser Prep en route to a 3-0 win in Region 14 volleyball action.
Region 16
GUNNISON, Utah-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs overpowered Duchesne 3-0 in Region 16 volleyball action Thursday. The Bulldogs hammered the Eagles 25-10, 25-15 and 25-19 to net the straight sets victory.
Region 18
ENTERPRISE, Utah-The Enterprise Wolves waxed Beaver 3-0 Thursday in Region 18 volleyball action. The Wolves clobbered the Beavers 25-11, 25-9 and 25-11 to prevail in straight sets.
PAROWAN, Utah-The Millard Eagles overpowered Parowan 3-0 in Region 18 volleyball action Thursday. The Eagles gashed the Rams 25-16, 25-20 and 25-7 to cruise to the straight sets victory.
Non-Region
KANAB, Utah-Kanab routed San Juan 3-1 Thursday in non-region volleyball action. Kanab busted the Broncos, 15-25, 25-16, 26-24 and 25-22 for the victory.
Girls Soccer
2-A South
BEAVER, Utah-Heidi Harris and Sam Atkin scored two goals apiece and the Beaver Beavers downed the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs 5-3 Thursday in 2-A South girls soccer action. Ashton Bowles also scored in victory for the Beavers. Jayde Peterson scored twice and Sydney Facer also found the net in defeat for the Bulldogs.
FILLMORE, Utah-Audrey Camp, Kara Camp and Paige Cummings scored two goals apiece and the Millard Eagles downed Parowan 6-4 in 2-A South girls soccer action Thursday. Brynlee Andersen scored twice in defeat for the Rams.
Region 12
PRICE, Utah-Melissa Crane scored and the Richfield Wildcats outlasted Carbon 1-0 Thursday in Region 12 girls soccer action. Megan Terry posted the shutout in the win for Richfield.
Region 14
LINDON, Utah-The Delta Rabbits clobbered Maeser Prep 8-1 in Region 14 girls soccer action Thursday.
NEPHI, Utah-Josephine Kay and Marissa Hall each amassed hat tricks and the Juab Wasps routed North Sanpete 8-0 Thursday in Region 14 girls soccer action. CheyAnn Lewis and Ellie Rowley also added a goal apiece in the win for the Wasps. Jacie Bergstrom posted the shutout in victory for Juab.
Boys Golf
Region 12
EMERY COUNTY, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats won the Region 12 boys golf tournament Thursday with a score of 308 at Millsite Golf Course. Grand finished second with a 320, followed by Carbon’s 333. Emery placed fourth with South Sevier fifth and San Juan sixth.
Individually Grand led the way with Wyatt Toney placing first with a 70 and Rafe Saunders taking second shooting a 71. Richfield’s Jaygen Mullen took third with a 72 and Keaton Anderson finished fourth with a 73. Carbon’s Bode Salas placed fifth with a 77.
