Utah Jazz Star Donovan Mitchell Denounces Violence Against Los Angeles Police

SALT LAKE CITY-In Monday statements, Utah Jazz star guard Donovan Mitchell denounced violence against two Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies who were shot over the weekend.

The LA County Sheriff deputies in question were ambushed by an unknown assailant while sitting in their police vehicle.

Presently, this subject remains at large.

These officers, a 31-year-old female and a 24-year-old man remain hospitalized following their surgery.

 

The third-year guard out of Louisville has averaged 22.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4 assists per game with the Jazz since being drafted in 2017.

The 6-1 215-pound Mitchell has often spoken out on social issues since coming to the Jazz.
