Early in the morning of Aug. 29, Sevier Search and Rescue, rescued a paraglider that crashed on the hills above Heplers Pond Road east of Richfield. It has been confirmed by friends and family on social media that the individual was Tanner Sirrine, age 24.
Sirrine was taken by life flight to Utah Valley Medical Center. According to a post on Facebook made by Sirrine’s wife he had a small brain bleed and pneumothorax on his lung that is being monitored. He also suffered multiple bruises to the lungs, lacerations on his forehead, skull fractures on the base and front of his skull, fractured right elbow and wrist, fractured tibia/fibia on his right leg, fractured right and left ankles and three broken ribs.
Also according to the post, it was stated that there were no apparent injuries to his spine.
