Utah authorities say a man was shot following a confrontation with officers at a parking garage in the Salt Lake City area. The Unified Police Department said a 39-year-old man armed with a handgun was critically injured in the Saturday afternoon shooting. No officers were injured. Police say officers negotiated with the man, who was suicidal, for about 30 minutes prior to the shooting. Several officers at the scene were wearing body cameras that will be reviewed as part of an investigation into the shooting.
