An update has been released on the Pine Hollow Fire that is burning along the Utah and Arizona border. As of the morning of Aug. 8 the fire has burned 11,373 acres, is 58% contained and has 380 personnel assigned.
According to officials one house and four outbuildings were in danger of the fire, but crews were doing a good job at protecting them. The fire first started around 20 miles east of Kanab and is believed to have been caused by lightning.
