With people throughout the country practicing social distancing due to COVID-19, local and national restaurants are suffering. In light of this, groups are declaring Tuesday Mar. 24 as the “Great American Takeout.”

People are being asked to support their local and national restaurants by ordering takeout where offered with many places that normally don’t offer such services offering it.

People are also being asked to spread the word on social media by using the hashtag #GreatAmericanTakeout to encourage others to participate.
