Juab Boys, Manti Girls, Win At Juab IceBreaker Track Meet

NEPHI, Utah-Wednesday, the high school track and field season commenced with Juab High School hosting the Juab IceBreaker.

Juab’s boys prevailed, posting 232.5 points. Manti finished second with 135 points, Delta was third with 97.5 points and Tooele placed fourth with 56 points.

For the girls, Manti took the crown with 173 points. Juab placed second with 136 points. Delta finished third with 133 points and Tooele finished fourth with 67 points.

In the boys’ 100-meter dash, Delta’s Oran Finlinson (11.62 seconds) took the title. Juab’s Bodee Blackett placed second (11.68), Tyson Brenchley of Manti finished third (11.77), Manti’s Keenan Moulton placed fourth (11.91), Jordan Blauer of Manti finished fifth (12.05), Jared Dye of Juab (12.10) finished sixth, Coltin Fletcher of Juab placed seventh (12.23) and Isaac Allred (12.28) finished eighth.

In the girls’ 100-meter dash, Juab’s Ronnie Walker took the title in 12.79 seconds. Her teammate, Valerie Clark (13.97) finished fifth. Megan Olson of Manti placed sixth (14.00) and her teammates, Tamyra Moulton (14.02) and Courtney Lee (14.06) placed seventh and eighth, respectively.

Oran Finlinson also took the boys’ 200-meter dash crown, in 23.44 seconds. Bodee Blackett again finished second (23.66) with Jared Dye placing fourth (24.76). Carter Lynn of Juab placed fifth (24.88) and Juab’s Louk Stevens placed eighth (25.94).

Ronnie Walker of Juab won the girls’ 200-meter dash title in 27.02 seconds. Manti’s Sharlie Alder placed second (27.95) with Savannah Nielson of Delta finishing third (28.08). Kaeshay Brough of Delta finished fifth (29.01) and Kaitlyn Lambert of Manti placed sixth (29.76). Juab’s Belle Kelsey (29.90) and Natalie Morrell (30.30) finished seventh and eighth respectively.

Carter Lynn won the boys’ 400-meter dash title (55.33 seconds). Manti’s Christian Hansen (57.48) placed third and Jacob Eldridge of Juab (57.99) placed fourth. Juab’s Parker Hills (58.18) and Boston Baxter (1:01.42) finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Bjorn Crowther of Manti (1:02.02) finished eighth.

Sharlie Alder earned the girls’ 400-meter dash title (1:03.34) while Manti’s Jana Thompson finished second (1:08.16). Breanna Wayman (1:11.66) and Keltsy Fowles (1:11.78), each of Manti, finished third and fourth, respectively. Delta’s Sophie Bliss placed fifth (1:13.83) and Isabella Knudsen of Manti finished sixth (1:16.78). Delta’s Millie Western (1:19.24) finished seventh.

In the boys’ 800-meter run, Juab’s Tyler Dinkel (2:08.63) won the crown. His teammate, Jared Braden (2:10.41) placed second. Kurtis Nielson of Delta (2:10.52) finished third and Coltin Fletcher of Juab (2:10.58) placed fourth. John McLaws of Delta placed sixth (2:15.04) and Sam Cox of Manti finished seventh (2:15.50). Delta’s Samuel LeBaron (2:19.86) finished eighth.

Juab’s Marissa Hall (2:37.84) took the title in the girls’ 800-meter run. Delta’s Paige Curtis (2:41.42) placed second. Fiel Woods of Manti (2:45.77) finished fourth. Brynnleigh Goodwin of Delta (2:51.19) finished fifth. Eden Hall of Juab (2:52.33) finished sixth, Keltsy Fowles of Manti (2:53.88) finished seventh and Kayli Baker of Delta (2:54.23) placed eighth.

In the boys’ 1600-meter run, Juab’s Dason Day (4:47.41) took the title while John McLaws of Delta (5:00.12) placed third. Josiah Carter of Manti (5:06.90) placed fourth and his teammate, Sam Cox (5:07.02) finished fifth. Tyler Taggart of Manti (5:18.81) finished seventh.

Marissa Hall (5:39.38) also took the girls’ 1600-meter title. Allie Bridges of Manti (5:57.59) placed third and Fiel Woods (5:59.90) finished fourth. Paige Curtis of Delta (6:06.23) finished fifth. Keltsy Fowles of Manti (6:07.73) placed sixth and Juab’s Eden Hall (6:19.85) and Cambree Olsen (6:25.94) finished seventh and eighth respectively.

Delta’s Savannah Nielson (16.52) won the girls’ 100-meter hurdles crown. Claira Reynolds of Manti (17.88) finished second. Manti’s Peyton Stevens (19.50) finished fourth and Juab’s Jessica McFarland (19.51) placed fifth. Ashlynd Hunt of Delta (22.83) finished seventh.

Manti’s Trevor Robinson (15.58 seconds) won the boys’ 110-meter high hurdles title. Josh Blauer of Manti (15.60) placed second with Justus Bradley of Juab (19.15) finishing fourth. Delta’s Jamison Bishop (19.80) placed fifth and Colter Buck of Juab (20.39) finished sixth. Manti’s Kayson Douglas (21.38) finished seventh and Jared Bradley of Juab (21.40) finished eighth.

Josh Blauer (43.23 seconds) won the boys’ 300-meter hurdles’ title. Justus Bradley of Juab (44.08) placed second while Manti’s Trevor Robinson (44.54) finished third. Hagen Nielson of Delta (45.77) finished fourth. Bryton Matheson of Juab (46.14) finished fifth and his teammate, Colter Buck (48.79) placed sixth. Manti’s Kayson Douglas (49.26) placed seventh and Jared Bradley of Juab finished eighth (49.94).

Delta’s Adi Nielson (45.66 seconds) won the girls’ 300-meter hurdles title. Peyton Stevens of Manti (53.66) finished second and Juab’s Jessica McFarland (58.82) placed third.

In the boys’ long jump, Gavin Howarth of Juab (21-01) placed first while Trey Brough of Delta (20-06) placed second. Jordan Blauer of Manti (20-00) finished third. Delta’s Jamison Bishop (19-05) placed fifth. Kollin Robertson of Juab (18-06) finished sixth and Manti’s Kayson Douglas (17-09.50) finished seventh. Jyson Diaz of Delta (17-06.50) placed eighth.

Juab’s Ronnie Walker earned another title, posting a leap of 15-07.75, in the long jump. Delta’s Kaeshay Brough (15-02.50) placed second. Manti’s Lisle Hammer (14-09.75) placed third and Jadee Dutson of Delta (14-03.00) finished fourth. Ashlynd Hunt of Delta (14-00.25) placed sixth. Manti’s Emma Christensen (13-11.50) finished seventh and Sierra Howell of Manti (13-11.25) placed eighth.

With a leap of six feet, Juab’s Dawson Olsen won the boys’ high jump title. Manti’s Trevor Robinson (5-10) placed second with Kollin Robertson of Juab (5-10) finishing third. Delta’s Jamison Bishop and Isaac Allred (5-6) tied for fifth. Trey Brough of Delta, Delta’s Cameron Smith and Kayson Douglas of Manti also scored in the event, posting a leap of 5-4.

In the girls’ high jump, Tooele’s Allie Miles (5-2) took the title. Juab’s Brookyn Hunter and Sadie Wright finished second and third, respectively, each posting a leap of 4-10. Aubrey McQuisten of Juab finished fifth (4-8) and Manti’s Karen Wood and Breanna Wayman (4-6) finished sixth and seventh respectively. Manti’s Keyera Braithwaite (4-6) finished eighth.

In the boys’ javelin, Juab’s Zac Cowan (168-00) took the title. Jordan Blauer of Manti placed second (142-02) and Delta’s Trey Brough (139-03) finished third. Boden Ballow (123-05) of Juab placed fourth. Delta’s Jace Thomas (120-11) and Bridger Terril (117-05) finished fifth and sixth respectively. Manti’s Scott Albee (116-10) placed seventh and Ty Allred of Juab (115-08) finished eighth.

In the boys’ shot put, Manti’s Spencer Colburn (41-06.50) took the title. Bridger Terril placed second (39-02) and Juab’s Daylen Christensen (37-08) placed third. Mason Wohlforth of Juab (36-11) placed fourth and Juab’s Kaydon Olsen (36-09) placed fifth. Trendon Cropper of Delta (35-04) finished sixth. Juab’s David Phillips (35-03.50) placed seventh and Anthony Henningson of Manti (34-01) finished eighth.

Manti’s Sanilaiti Takeiaho (34-11) took the title in the girls’ shot put. Haylee Christenson of Delta (32-01.50) placed second. Breana Barson (30-11) of Manti finished third while Delta’s Saylor Day (28-11.50) finished fourth. Jasmin Murillo of Manti (28-10) finished fifth and Juab’s Shaylen Allred (27-01) finished sixth. Delta’s Kinlie Davis (27-01) placed seventh and Manti’s Brook Barson (26-07) finished eighth.

Juab’s Dawson Olsen (122-06) won the boys’ discus crown. Mason Wohlforth of Juab (118-05) placed second while Daylen Christensen, his teammate, placed third (114-07.50). Juab’s Kaydon Olsen (109-04.50) finished fourth and Manti’s Spencer Colburn (109-00.50) placed fifth. Bridger Terril of Delta (103-07.50) finished seventh and Juab’s Hunter Blackburn (100-01.50) finished eighth.

Kallie White of Juab (177-02) took the girls’ discus title. Delta’s Paityn Callister (98-00) finished second while Sanilaiti Takeiaho (94-07) finished third. Manti’s Jasmin Murillo (92-01) placed fourth and Brooke Barson of Manti (91-03) finished fifth, tying her with Breana Barson of Manti. Delta’s Saylor Day (90-00) and Kinlie Davis (84-09)placed seventh and eighth, respectively.

The Juab boys (47.34) won the 4 x 100 relay title. The Wasps competing in this event included Korbin Allred, Jared Dye, Louk Stevens and Bodee Blackett. Manti’s B team (47.93) placed second and the Templars’ A squad (52.63) finished third.

Delta’s girls (50.69 seconds) earned the 4 x 100 relay title. The Rabbits in this event were Megan Atkinson, Adi Nielson, Jordyn Nielson and Savannah Nielson.

In the boys’ 4 x 400 relay, Juab (3:41.96) took the crown. The Wasps in this event were Coltin Fletcher, Justus Bradley, Dason Day and Tyler Dinkel. Delta (3:58.56) placed second, Manti (4:05.13) placed third and the Juab B squad (4:06.93) finished fourth.

The girls’ 4 x 400 relay saw Delta (4:22.44) take the title. The Rabbits were represented in this event by Kaeshay Brough, Megan Atkinson, Adi Nielson and Savannah Nielson.

Juab (4:40.92) placed second and Delta’s B squad (4:55.25) finished third.
