MESQUITE, Nev.-Sam Orton led the way with 18 points and Cade Szymanski added 16 more as the Kanab Cowboys edged Class 4-A Crimson Cliffs 52-49 Thursday at the Bulldog Invitational at Virgin Valley High School. Cole Sampson and Trei Rockhill had 10 points apiece in the loss for the Mustangs.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Nataly Dunka posted 24 points and 8 rebounds and Debora Reis stepped up with 23 points and 12 boards as the Wasatch Academy Tigers pummeled Draper APA 66-25 in Region 15 girls basketball action Thursday.
Region 20
JUNCTION, Utah-Alysen Talbot’s 12 points led the way and the Piute Thunderbirds got past Bryce Valley 46-42 Thursday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Brooklyn Syrett had 13 points for the Mustangs in the loss.
BICKNELL, Utah-Preslee Barnson stepped up with 12 points and the Milford Tigers clobbered Wayne 56-33 in Region 20 girls basketball action Thursday. Abby Stevens led the Badgers in the loss with 9 points.
ESCALANTE, Utah-Esther Cox amassed 25 points as the Valley Buffaloes stampeded Escalante 71-30 Thursday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Mikki Prows led the Moquis in defeat with 15 points.

MESQUITE, Nev.-Brinley Cornell led the way with 19 points as Kanab smacked Class 5-A Wasatch 46-31 at the Virgin Valley Tournament Thursday. Mandy Belnap led the Wasps in the loss with 13 points.

MANTI, Utah-Allie Bridges netted 13 points as the Manti Templars waxed Beaver 54-47 in non-region girls basketball action Thursday. Avery Brown’s 13 points led the Beavers in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Jarica Steck netted 18 points as the Richfield Wildcats smacked Morgan 57-26 Thursday in non-region girls basketball action. Ashlyn Morrell, Jacie House and Sydney Cragun had 5 points apiece in defeat for the Trojans.
FILLMORE, Utah-Kenzie Jones amassed 22 points as the South Sevier Rams pounded Millard 62-34 in non-region girls basketball action Thursday. Rylee Miller’s 10 points led the Eagles in defeat.

NEPHI, Utah-The Juab Wasps dominated Union 56-16 in a Region 14 dual Thursday night. Juab earned six pins in the route. Getting pins for the Wasps were: Conner Ingram, Channing Warner, Taylor Newton, Cade Bowring, Will Harmon, and Blake Mangelson.

DELTA, Utah-The Delta Rabbits knocked off Emery 48-24 in a non-region wrestling dual Thursday night.
FILLMORE, Utah-The Millard Eagles knocked off South Sevier 49-13 Thursday in a non-region wrestling dual. The Eagles had five pins in the win from: Mark Roman, Josh Whitaker, John Whitaker, Wyatt Alcala, and Zach Deherrera. The Rams won just three matches with Triston Fillmore getting the best win in a 10-2 major decision.
