Snow storms over the night of Nov. 25 have left snow over various parts of the state. Due to this there are some road restrictions currently in place in a few areas just ahead of Thanksgiving.
If you are planning on traveling for the holiday here are a few restrictions you might want to be aware of.
Chains or 4-wheel drive are required for all vehicles traveling SR-190 in Big Cottonwood Canyon or SR-210 in Little Cottonwood Canyon
Chains or 4-wheel drive are also required for all vehicles on SR-143 from MP 0 to MP 17 (from I-15 Jct to Brian Head). SR-143 is closed in both directions from MP 17 to MP 28 (past Brian Head to Mammoth Springs) due to road weather.
US-191 is closed in both directions in Wyoming between I-80 and the UT/WY state line. The road is estimated to be reopened at 4:00 p.m. but motorists are advised to use alternate routes where possible and to expect delays.
