3-A State 3rd-4th Place Match

OREM, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats concluded their season on the right note by downing No. 1 seed San Juan 3-0 Wednesday to claim third at the 3-A state volleyball tournament at Utah Valley University. The Wildcats routed the Broncos 25-16, 25-20 and 25-16 for the decisive straight sets victory.

3-A State Semifinals

OREM, Utah-The Morgan Trojans, seeking their fifth consecutive state championship and 20th in school history, routed the Richfield Wildcats 3-0 Wednesday at Utah Valley University in the 3-A state volleyball semifinals. The dynastic Trojans prevailed 25-17, 25-19 and 25-15 over the Wildcats for the straight sets victory. Richfield next played San Juan for 3rd place Wednesday at 2:00 pm.

3-A State Volleyball Single-Loss Semis

OREM, Utah-The Grand Red Devils ended North Sanpete’s season with a 3-1 win over the Hawks in the 3-A state volleyball single-loss semifinals at Utah Valley University Wednesday. The Red Devils prevailed 20-25, 25-19, 25-15 and 25-15.

3-A State Volleyball Consolation Semis 

OREM, Utah-The South Sevier Rams outlasted Emery 3-2 Wednesday to stay alive at the 3-A state girls volleyball tournament consolation semifinals at Utah Valley University. The Rams prevailed 25-9, 19-25, 25-27, 27-25 and 15-10 in the clincher to end the Spartans’ season. The Rams next face Judge Memorial at 12:30 pm Wednesday in the 6th-8th place match. The Bulldogs ousted Grantsville 3-1 in the other consolation semifinal.
