2-A State Semifinals

DRAPER, Utah-Anna Fukushima and Giselle Bodeen each scored as the Rowland Hall-St. Mark’s Winged Lions blanked Millard 2-0 Thursday in the 2-A state girls soccer semifinals at Juan Diego Catholic High School. The Winged Lions next meet the Real Salt Lake Academy Griffins Saturday at 11:00 am for the 2-A state girls championship match at Rio Tinto Stadium.

3-A State Semifinals

DRAPER, Utah-Nicole Nelson netted a pair of goals and the Manti Templars blanked Juab 3-0 in the 3-A state girls soccer semifinals at Juan Diego Catholic High School Thursday. Allie Bridges also found the  net and Katie Larsen earned the shutout for the Templars in the win. Manti next faces Judge Memorial, a 3-1 winner over Morgan Thursday, in Saturday’s 3-A state girls champi0nship match at Rio Tinto Stadium for a 1:30 pm kickoff.

Volleyball

Region 18

KANAB, Utah-Kanab bested Enterprise 3-1 Thursday in Region 18 volleyball action. Kanab stymied Enterprise 25-16, 12-25, 27-25 and 25-21 to get the victory to conclude the regular season.

Non-Region

GUNNISON, Utah-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs outlasted Wasatch Academy 3-2 in non-region volleyball action Thursday. The Bulldogs got past the Tigers 18-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-17 and 15-7 in the clincher for the win.
