Region 14
MANTI, Utah-Megan Olson found the net twice and the Manti Templars blanked the Delta Rabbits 5-0 Thursday in Region 14 girls soccer action. Ally Squire, Brynlee Golding and Kassidy Alder also scored for Manti in the win. Katie Larsen earned the shutout for the Templars.
NEPHI, Utah-Josephine Kay and Katie Cowan each found the net as the Juab Wasps doubled up Union 2-1 in Region 14 girls soccer action Thursday.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-North Sanpete and American Leadership Academy finished their Region 14 match in a 2-2 draw Thursday.
Non-Region
FILLMORE, Utah-Audrey Camp netted four goals and the Millard Eagles pounded Maeser Prep 6-2 in non-region girls soccer action Thursday. Heidi Thurman also scored in the win for Millard.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kate Robinson and Melissa Crane each scored twice as the Richfield Wildcats smacked Beaver 6-0 Thursday in non-region girls soccer action. Brittan Tait and Nora Foster also scored in the win for Richfield, while Megan Terry posted the shutout for the Beavers.
Girls Volleyball
Region 20
TROPIC, Utah-Milford won the first set 25-15 then rolled to a straight set win over Bryce Valley with 25-8 and 25-11 wins in the final two sets in Region 20 volleyball Thursday.
Non-Region
GUNNISON, Utah-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs prevailed over Beaver in straight sets 3-0 in non-region volleyball action Thursday. The Bulldogs won 25-20, 25-14 and 25-20.
NEPHI, Utah-The Carbon Dinos routed Juab 3-0 Thursday in non-region volleyball action. The Dinos prevailed 25-13, 25-21 and 25-22.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-The Enterprise Wolves bested the North Sevier Wolves 3-0 Thurday in non-region volleyball action. Enterprise netted wins of 25-19, 25-19, 25-19.
RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats responded from an 0-1 deficit by winning the next three sets in a 3-1 win over the Panguitch Bobcats in non-region volleyball action Thursday. The Wildcats prevailed 15-25, 27-25, 25-17, 31-29.
ALTAMONT, Utah-The Millard Eagles hit the road and swept the Altamont Longhorns 3-0 in non-region volleyball action Thursday.
MONROE, Utah-South Sevier took the first set 25-21, before North Sanpete stormed back to win three close sets in a row, 25-12, 25-23, 25-23 to win the match 3-1 in non-region volleyball Thursday.
Boys Golf
Region 12
FERRON, Utah-Luke Williams went low with a 71 to lead Grand to victory at the Region 12 golf tournament Thursday at Millsite in Emery County. The Red Devils shot a 317 as a team, Richfield placed second with a 323, while Carbon finished third with a 327. South Sevier placed fourth with a 363, Emery took fifth on their home course with a 376 and San Juan finished sixth by shooting a 403.
Grand’s Williams won the individual title with his 71, his teammate Rafe Saunders and Carbon’s Bode Salas tied for second with a 75, Jaren Anderson of Richfield placed fourth with a 76, his teammate TJ Gadd and Carbon’s Nick Olsen tied for fifth by each shooting a 78.
