One man is in police custody after a domestic violence incident in Ephraim early Thursday morning.
According to Ephraim City Police Chief, Aaron Broomhead, a women called 911 just before midnight Wednesday night about a domestic violence incident. Officials could hear arguing in the background before the line disconnected.
Police responded to the call and found the home where the call came from completely dark. No one came out or responded to attempts to talk.
The Utah County SWAT team responded and took 43-year-old Jeremiah Swan into custody around 5:15 a.m.
Broomhead says SWAT was called because of Swan’s past criminal history and them knowing he had weapons in the house.
Broomhead says they are looking at domestic violence charges after speaking with Swan’s girlfriend.
