Dixie State Basketball Adds Two New Staff Members

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Dixie State University’s men’s basketball program announced two additions to head coach Jon Judkins’ staff.

Judkins has brought back Jake Schroeder to his staff while also bringing in former BYU director of basketball operations, Andrew May.

Schroeder left the Trailblazers’ program for six years while serving as Bingham High School’s head coach.

At the helm for the Miners, Schroeder, also a former Snow College and Portland State star, posted a record of 102-46 (.689) and won back-to-back 5-A state titles in 2016 and 2017.

After playing for Judkins at Snow, Schroeder became his assistant at Dixie State from 2006-2013, helping to lead the squad to four consecutive NCAA Division II tournament appearances. This included a berth in the Sweet 16 in the 2010-11 season.

May comes to St. George after serving the Cougars for the past four seasons. He has also been an assistant coach at Salt Lake Community College, helping to lead the Bruins to four consecutive SWAC championships and a pair of NJCAA national tournament runner-up finishes.
