LOS ANGELES-Saturday, as select members of BYU’s men’s and women’s track and field squads competed at the Oxy Invitational at Occidental College, a pair of former Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network school star athletes excelled.

Former Beaver High star Austin Carter, placed second in the men’s shot put with a toss of 52-02.50.

Meanwhile, former Millard High star Anna Camp finished seventh in the women’s 800-meter run, setting a personal-record time of 2:04.20. Camp is on the cusp of qualifying for the West regional track meet May 23-25 at Sacramento, Calif.
