PROVO, Utah-Monday, USU-Eastern men’s basketball star Blaze Nield confirmed on his Twitter account that will sign with Brigham Young University.
Nield, a 6-1 point guard who averaged 20.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game this season for the Eagles, said he is “beyond blessed” on his Twitter account, for this opportunity to play for head coach Mark Pope at BYU.
Nield also shot 44.3 percent from the field, 40.7 percent behind the 3-point line
Nield is a former Lehi High star and was ranked as the #2 point guard and #10 overall player in Utah in 2016 while starring for the Pioneers.
Nield served a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints mission in Washington D.C. before excelling for the Eagles.
