3-A Play-In Game @ North Sevier H.S.

SALINA, Utah-Jarett Reidhead and Kyler Helquist each doubled and Tyler Lindsey took the win on the mound as the Grand Red Devils outlasted North Sanpete 15-13 in the 3-A state baseball tournament play-in game at North Sevier High School Thursday. Grand next faces Juab Saturday at Juab High School in the Juab pod to commence the 3-A state tournament. In defeat, Ashton Osborne had an RBI triple and added a 2-RBI single for the Hawks. Tyler Hadley also had a 2-RBI single and Zane Tibbs added another RBI single for North Sanpete, as the Hawks’ season came to an end.

Non-Region

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kristen Morgan and Madisyn Christensen each homered and the Richfield Wildcats outgunned Millard 17-11 Thursday in non-region softball action. Abby Janke tripled and Madison Bogh and Marisa Franks added doubles in the win for Richfield, as the Wildcats amassed 21 hits. Allie Torgerson earned the win in the circle for Richfield. Bryn Rasmussen and Megan Wade doubled in the loss for the Eagles.

GUNNISON, Utah-Paige King tripled and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pounded Parowan 19-4 in non-region softball action Thursday. McKaylyn Edwards and Tayler Brackett doubled as well in the win for the Bulldogs. Halle Bjerregaard earned the win in the circle for Gunnison Valley.

MONROE, Utah-Darci Wagner hit a solo home run, but that was the only run South Sevier scored as they lost to Enterprise 12-1 Thursday in non-region softball action.
