On Friday April 5, Shaun S. Kjar of Ephraim, signed a contract with Ephraim City as the new City Manager.
Ephraim’s former City Manager, Brant Hanson, was offered a City Manager position with Centerville, Utah, which began on March 25, 2019.
The vacant position was advertised locally and throughout the State of Utah. The City Council reviewed 34applications, five of which were selected for interview. After much deliberation with City department heads and Staff, the Council has concluded that Kjar is the best candidate to serve in this position.

He has also been a part time employee of Mid Utah Radio.
Shaun Kjar has been a resident of Ephraim for more than 10 years. He was raised in Manti where he graduated from Manti High School, then went on to graduate Snow College, and Utah State University. He is married to Analee Wheeler, a lifetime resident of Ephraim.
