Dixie State’s Brody Clifford Named As RMAC Baseball Player of the Week

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Tuesday, Dixie State senior outfielder Brody Clifford was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s baseball player of the week for his record-setting heroics last week.

In a 28-9 win over Adams State Sunday at Alamosa, Colo., Clifford amassed four home runs and nine RBI while going four of seven at the plate.

Clifford’s four home runs are a school record, as were the nine RBI. Other school records he set in this performance include total bases (17) and runs scored (6) as well as base hits (5) and at-bats (7).

Clifford is a native of Queen Creek, Ariz. and previously starred at Bradshaw Mountain High School of Prescott Valley, Ariz. and Yavapai Community College of Prescott, Ariz.

Clifford’s heroics lifted the Trailblazers to a 14-4 record (4-0 in RMAC play) and they are next in action Friday-Sunday for a home series against Colorado-Colorado Springs at Bruce Hurst Field.
