Morgan In the Lead at 3-A Boys Golf Tournament, Mid-Utah Radio Schools In Contention

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Monday, Meadowbrook Golf Course of Taylorsville hosted Day 1 of the 3-A boys golf tournament with action to conclude Tuesday. Many Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools and athletes representing these schools are in contention for a state title as the final day of competition commences.

Currently, the Morgan Trojans, sporting a collective score of 287, are in first place. North Sanpete and Richfield are tied for fifth place in the team standings at 316 points apiece.

Juab, Manti and Delta missed the cut as teams, but Brock Cragun of Juab and Jake Henrie of Delta will play the second day as individuals.

Individually, North Sanpete’s River Dillman is tied for second place with Judge Memorial’s Graham Hodell and Emery’s Oakley Toomer at 71 apiece.

His teammate, Tyler Hadley, is in 10th place, shooting a 74. Henrie of Delta is tied for 12th at 77 with Jaxen Saunders of Grand.

Jaron Anderson and Conner Belnap of Richfield are tied for 14th in the standings at 78.

The tournament concludes later this afternoon.
