Containment Grows On Millard County Wildfire

(Kanosh, UT) — Firefighters are making progress on the Widemouth Two Fire burning south of Kanosh in Millard County. Officials say the lightning-caused wildfire has burned nearly six-thousand acres and is now 15-percent contained after storms brought cooler temperatures and higher humidity. Crews were able to make gains near homes and the town of Kanosh, but officials warn fire activity could increase again as conditions dry out. Evacuation orders remain in effect and firefighting efforts were briefly interrupted by both a drone flying over the fire and changing weather conditions.
