(St. George, UT) — Rain this week has helped to knock back some fires, but it’s also leading to flooding. That’s expected to get worse today and into the weekend. The National Weather Service is issuing a flood watch for most of Southern Utah. Recent burn scars are likely to see mudslides. Today’s flood watch might be extended into the weekend as forecasters grow concerned about the possibility of major floods.
