(Salt Lake City, UT) — Children in Utah will once again have access to free meals during the summer break through statewide food assistance programs. Families can receive free breakfasts and lunches for children 18 and younger at participating schools, community centers and other meal sites across Utah. State officials say the program is designed to help families facing higher grocery costs while school cafeterias are closed for summer vacation. State officials say many meal sites do not require registration or proof of income for children to participate. Information about locations and schedules is available through local school districts and the Utah Food Bank.
