(Salt Lake City, UT) — A winter storm is expected to bring snow and freezing temperatures to parts of Utah after a weekend of dangerous fire weather conditions. The National Weather Service says strong winds, dry air and warm temperatures created critical wildfire danger over the weekend before colder weather moved in. Forecasters expect mountain snow and freeze conditions across many Utah valleys today and tomorrow. Officials are warning growers to protect sensitive crops after severe freezes last month destroyed much of Utah’s fruit harvest.
