Region 14

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Noah Sandoval homered and the Canyon View Falcons stymied Juab 11-6  Tuesday in Region 14 baseball play. Zach Maine’s five strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win on the mound for the Falcons. Maddix Park drove in three runs in the loss for the Wasps.

2A North

FILLMORE, Utah-Kamdyn Frampton drove in three runs and the Millard Eagles outlasted Duchesne 7-6 Tuesday in 2A North baseball play. Zach Higgins pitched 5.1 innings and earned the win on the mound for Millard. Payson Davis drove in two runs in the loss for the Duchesne Eagles.

Non-Region

MANTI, Utah-Kellen Lund homered and the Manti Templars got past South Sevier 7-6 in non-region baseball play Tuesday. Zach Blackham pitched one inning to secure the win on the mound for the Templars. Grady Mitchell, Trayl Parsons and Hayden Edwards drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Rams.

Softball

Region 15

FILLMORE, Utah-Berkley Stephens, Taylie Terry, Savannah Turner and Maggie Stephens drove in a run and the Millard Eagles edged North Sevier 6-5 in Region 15 softball play Tuesday. Paityn Taylor netted four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Eagles. Kadee Bosshardt homered in the loss for the Wolves.

KAMAS, Utah-Jenna Sargent, Sydney Crystal and Ireland Ellis each homered and the South Summit Wildcats outlasted Gunnison Valley 16-15 Tuesday in Region 15 softball play. Brinley Teeples posted a strikeout in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for South Summit. Rylee Bartholomew drove in four runs in the loss for the Bulldogs.

Region 18

BEAVER, Utah-Arikka Anderson drove in two runs and the Beaver Beavers edged South Sevier 5-4 Tuesday in Regon 18 softball play. KaBella Low posted two strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Beavers. Wishlee Bringhurst, Kinsey Parsons, Halle McKinlay and Kaitlyn Lynch drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Rams.

Non-Region

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kaecee Johnson drove in two runs and the North Sanpete Hawks blanked Richfield 6-0 in non-region softball play Tuesday. Johnson’s 12 strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win in the circle for the Hawks.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Savannah Ramone homered and the Manti Templars bested Canyon View 11-9 Tuesday in non-region softball play. Aidali Orozco netted six strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Templars. Payton King homered in the loss for the Falcons.

DELTA, Utah-Elee Anderson and Joslyn Christiansen drove in two runs apiece and the Delta Rabbits edged Parowan 8-7 in non-region softball play Tuesday. Lexi Nielson netted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Rabbits. Ella Lemke homered twice in defeat for the Rams. Erika Kelly and Ryann Robinson also went yard in the loss for Parowan.

NEPHI, Utah-Brailee Peterson drove in four runs and the Carbon Dinos drilled Juab 15-8 Tuesday in non-region softball play. Kadence Vea netted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Dinos. Raylie Ballow and Delaney Long drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Wasps.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-James Dettinger and Tyler Steinfeldt each scored and the No. 9 Manti Templars doubled up No. 8 North Sanpete 2-1 in the first round of the state 3A boys soccer playoffs. Manti next visits No. 1 Ogden Friday at 4:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

2A Second Round

AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Matthew Brady and Josue Kajinga scored a goal apiece and the No. 4 American Heritage Patriots blanked No. 13 Intermountain Christian 2-0 Tuesday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs. The Patriots next host No. 5 Millard Friday at 4:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

LINDON, Utah-Jack Pomeroy netted a hat trick and the No. 1 Maeser Prep Lions routed No. 17 Wasatch Academy 7-0 in the second round of the 2A state playoffs Tuesday. The Lions next host No. 8 Gunnison Valley Friday in the state quarterfinals at 4:00 pm. Mahonri Alcazar recorded the shutout in the net in victory for the Lions.

SALT LAKE CITY-Fran Fierro and Javier Fierro each scored and the No. 3 Rowland Hall Winged Lions doubled up No. 19 Enterprise 2-1 Tuesday in the second round of the 2A state playoffs.

HERRIMAN, Utah-Coby Rasmussen netted 23 kills and the Manti Templars got past Providence Hall 3-2 in 3A South boys volleyball play Tuesday. The Templars outlasted the Patriots 25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-7.
