A woman was arrested after a residential fire in Delta on Jan. 21. According to a press release from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, as deputies and fire unites responded to the residence, “an individual was observed walking quickly away from the area of the fire.” Deputies were able to locate the individual and question them. After questioning, 33-year-old Jackie Pearce was arrested and booked into the Millard County Jail for arson, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a financial transaction card. The press release also shared, “thankfully, everyone was able to evacuate the residence without harm. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, however the residence sustained significant damage.”
