UPDATE: The Forest Service reports the Willow Patch Fire at 4,711 Monday morning with 50 percent containment.
The power in Wayne County has patchy because of smoke in the area causing outages. With the smoke interacting with an active transmission line, the crews working in the area can be in danger, so the line can still be down intermittently as the blaze continues.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office has closed several roads in the area.
A red flag warning in in affect on Monday and Tuesday with warming temperatures and winds.

SR 24 is again open as crews battle the Willow Patch Fire.
A type three incident management team is moving in to start attacking the blaze.
The Sheriff’s office is asking everyone to please avoid the area to keep the area clear for the firefighters to work.

The Willow Patch Fire is estimated to have burned 500 acres Friday afternoon. Crews have 0 percent containment.
Officials are investigating a car as the cause of the start of the fire.
Several resources are fighting the fire, including aircraft. It’s spreading to the North.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, the fire keeps jumping the highway, which is making it difficult to battle the blaze.
UHP expects to have the highway closed all night Friday.

Two wildfires are burning near Glenwood and Annabella. Officials are closing SR 24 Friday afternoon.
Officials have not issued any evacuations in the area, but are moving to evacuate campers.
One fire is burning near mile marker 19 and one is near mile marker 17.
SR 24 is closed at the junction of SR 62 on the south end and at both Glenwood and Sigurd on the North end.
Utah Highway Patrol is asking for people to please avoid the area. Campers in the area of little lost creek are being evacuated. No other evacuations have been issued.
