A motorcycle rider is recovering after an accident on I-70 Friday morning.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Ronald Watts was traveling Eastbound near mile marker 53 when he went off the roadway to the left.
He crashed into two posts and continued into the median where he crashed in the Southbound lanes.
Watts was flown to Utah Valley Hospital from the scene with head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.

Lanes have been reopened while Utah Highway Patrol continues their investigation.
The accident was called in around 10 a.m. Friday morning.

Westbound I-70 is closed due to a motorcycle accident near milepost 54.
The Utah Department of Transportation reports both lanes are closed.
First responders have called in an airmed helicopter to land on the freeway to take the driver to the hospital.
