CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah University’s cross country announced its 2018 fall schedule which includes a home meet.
The Thunderbirds will commence with a busy September as they will compete at the UVU Invitational September 1 at Orem.
On September 15, the Thunderbirds will be at the UC Riverside Invitational at Riverside, Calif. and will continue their hectic September at the Idaho State Invitational at Pocatello, Idaho September 22.
September 28, the Thunderbirds will make their first foray of the season to Madison, Wis. to compete at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
This is significant as the Badgers will also host the national championship meet November 17 and on October 13, Wisconsin also hosts the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.
The Thunderbirds will host their own meet October 6 with the annual SUU Color Country Invitational.
Sacramento State will host the Big Sky championship meet October 27 and the last chance the Thunderbirds will have to prepare for the national championship meet will be the NCAA Mountain Regional championships hosted by BYU at Provo November 9.
The Thunderbirds are coming off a successful 2017, which saw them place 11th overall at the national title meet at Louisville, Ky.
