(Salt Lake City, UT) — One person is in custody after an officer-involved shooting in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Kane County Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle on Highway 89 this past Saturday night. Authorities say a person in the vehicle ended up driving toward rangers, who opened fire on the suspect. The suspect was hit by the gunfire but suffered non-critical injuries. After he was released from the hospital, he was taken into custody on multiple charges.
