CEDAR CITY, Utah-Southern Utah offensive lineman Zach Larsen was named to the HERO Sports Preseason All-American team Tuesday as a member of the second team offense as the publication released its information.
HERO is a Bellevue, Wash.-based college football reporting magazine that specializes in both FBS and FCS football.
Following the 2017 season, Larsen, a 6’1″ 300-pound junior-to-be who starred at Jordan High, was named to a litany of All-American teams, including the STATS All-America 3rd team, Phil Steele’s All-American Second team and the HERO sports sophomore All-America team and first-team offense.
Larsen was a 2017 All-Big Sky Conference first-team offense performer after starting every game at center for the Thunderbirds that season and was the impetus of a strong offensive attack all season.
All told, HERO honored 14 Big Sky Conference players last season.
