(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Senate leaders plan to revise a bill addressing mail-in ballots after concerns were raised by indigenous groups and other advocates over the requirement for a state ID. Senate President J. Stuart Adams stated that while HB 300 is generally supported, adjustments will be made to address issues raised by the Navajo Nation and others regarding ID verification. Lawmakers intend to review which IDs qualify and work on the issue during the interim.
