“Union Busting” Measure Clears State Senate

(Salt Lake City, UT) — What’s being described as a “union busting” bill has cleared the state Senate. House Bill 267 stops collective bargaining for public employees in Utah. Some lawmakers say the measure is an attack on unions. However, a substitute bill is also in the works, which could still allow for collective bargaining for public employees. The Senate could take up that measure as soon as today.
