Utah CO Man Charged with Threatening Judge for Treason

(Provo, UT) — A Utah County man who was previously facing felony charges is now being accused of threatening to hang a judge for treason. Authorities say Elijah Nehemiah Madden of Genola filed a motion this summer that called for the removal of a judge for treason. Madden warned that upon conviction, the punishment would involve being taken to the nearest busy intersection at high noon and hung by the neck until dead. Last year, Madden was charged with child endangerment and restricted possession of a firearm.
